Music is one of the most effective ways of preparing an audience and reinforcing points that you wish to impose on it. The correct use of music, and this includes the non-use of music, is one of the greatest weapons that the film maker has at their disposal." - Stanley Kubrick (2001 Space Odyssey, Eyes wide shut)
Music can play a massive range of roles when put with visuals. It can create a certain mood, bring the visuals to life, emphasise movement, reinforce a message, or to underscore dialogue. How the music is composed and designed to work with the visuals is a delicate process any composer and film director has to go through.

Corporate Communications Music for effective corporate communications tends to follow an underscore style where the music is not the dominant feature and gives space for a voiceover or technical information and visuals. The music can help deliver the messaging more effectively by creating the supporting moods for the audience so that they become more receptive and communicate it through the multiple sensory experience.
